Three Liturgical Choirs.
Masses
Our parish has need for people to help sing the Liturgy for our
three principal Masses every Sunday morning:
9:00 am and 1pm in Mandarin
10:15 am in Cantonese
11:30 am in English
Rehearsals
The Mandarin Choir rehearses after the 9:00 am Mass each Sunday.
The English Choir meets at 10:15 am to rehearse for the 11:30 am Mass and for the Mass for the following Sunday.
The Cantonese Choir meets at 9:45 am for the 10:15 am Mass and then after that Mass.
There is a general rehearsal every Wednesday evening 6:00 to 7:30 pm. This rehearsal is often repeated on Sunday afternoon at 2:45 pm.
Events
All three Choirs sing regularly together for major Festivals and other special events.
Transfiguration also sponsors a choir for children. Under the direction of the Minister of Music, the children prepare and sing for Major Festivals and other parish functions. The Children’s Choir rehearses each Sunday 2:15 - 3:00 pm.
